England Ladies football team reveal trendy home and away kit

England Lionesses reveal their brand-new sports gear to their fans. Steering away from the traditional white home design, they have introduced a cranberry red away kit which is unique to them. This undoubtedly gives them more of an identity whilst competing.

It will be worn for the first time at the FIFA World Cup in France this summer. And fans will agree that their new image contributes towards them standing out on the pitch. Expectations are high which means there is more pressure on the players. Although former England football player Phil Neville says that the ‘Lionesses have nothing to fear’.

The home kit features red cuffs at the end of the sleeves on the simple white shirt. This distinguishes the Nike strip against the white background. Inspired by International women’s day, there has been a big focus on the Nike strip in their hope for world domination.

Fran Kirby who plays as a forward for the team said, “It is great to see kits designed specifically with us in mind. The home kit seems really classic while the pattern of the away is exciting and new.”

The 10 roses alongside the 3 lions on the tonal crest symbolises unity. And the floral pattern covering the kit supports the counties and regions of England.

The women’s collection includes a range of attires such as training gear, off pitch clothing and an anthem jacket. But will this new style give them a more of a chance to win?
