Kean’s Everton Career in Lockdown, After Party
Moise Kean’s Everton career may be finished after the Merseyside club “strongly expressed their disappointment” after the 20-year-old Italian broke lockdown restrictions by hosting a party.
The player who joined from Juventus last summer for £24m filmed himself on the social media platform snapchat with models and other guests at his home in Cheshire, which is a breach of the government’s social distancing measures resulting in Everton reprimanding the player and his “unacceptable actions”.
This comes after the former Hellas Verona loanee provided medical equipment to support the fight against the virus back in Italy, the player helped purchase respirator machines and face masks.
The merseyside outfit have given the Italy under 21 striker a £100,000 fine and he may yet still face further punishment for his rule-breaking actions.
A statement by Everton read ” Everton Football Club was appalled to learn of an incident in which a first team player ignored government guidance and club policy in relation to the coronavirus crisis”.
It’s no rumour fellow Italian and manager Carlo Ancelotti is furious with the player and his actions.
Kean has failed to impress in his debut season in England scoring
once in 26 games for the club after joining with a lot of excitement after scoring 6 goals in 13 Serie A games last term.
The Toffees have been very active in helping out the community, during the coronavirus pandemic and it’s said that higher ranking officials at Goodison Park are dismayed that the player has showed a lack of discipline and self awareness.
This isn’t the first time Kean has been seen not showing the correct professionalism as he had a run in with former manager Marco Silva and was subsequently dropped for a win against Southampton after he showed up to a team meeting late.
Kean isn’t the only Premier League player to break the lockdown rules
