Louis Van Gaal furious at Journalist as United come from behind to beat Southampton 3-2.

After scoring on his debut against Liverpool last week, Anthony Martial shone again and scored twice to help Man united claim a 3-2 victory over Southampton at St Mary’s stadium.

Despite the win, Manchester United manager Louis Van Gaal was irritated in his post-match press conference after a Journalist questioned his side’s defending.

“You say something, and you don’t think about what you are saying.

“I don’t agree with you, have you seen the goals against last season?

“All the media were writing the defence is very bad and in the end we were third in the premier league, so I don’t agree with you.”

Southampton controlled the game in the first 30 minutes and grabbed the opening goal in the 11 minutes in via Graziano Pellè.

From then on United took off. Martial’s double and Juan Mata’s 68th minute strike meant they led 3-1 going into the last quarter of an hour. But from here United looked shakey, conceding a goal in the 86th to Pellè again.

Van Gaal was told that Southampton manager Ronald Koeman said his team had defensive weaknesses before the game.

The man United manager replied: “I think you have twisted his words.”

After challenging the Journalists comments, the media room came to his rescue and explained to Van Gaal that the journalist was speaking truthfully.”

Van Gaal was still unimpressed: “It is also remarkable that he says that.”

“My team did not defend well enough in the last 15 minutes I have explained already.”
